When structural damage occurs on an Air National Guard jet, it's the job of the Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist to figure out the problem, fix it, and get that plane back in the air, pronto. In this career, you’ll become a master craftsman, learning a valuable skill set and using a variety of tools, such as welding and metalworking equipment, on every kind of metal, from steel to synthetic polymers. As the Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist, you are an integral part of the Air Guard team responsible for maintaining the high quality of the Air National Guard air fleet and ensuring the safety of the pilots and aircrew members that fly them.
