ANG commitment, work environment and deployment information.

What's My Commitment?

If you've never served in the military before, the commitment is 6 years. To start, you'll attend Basic Training and Technical Training full time. For the remainder of your commitment, you'll work part-time one weekend a month and two weeks per year.

Where Will I Work?

The Air Guard has over 140 units in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. This means you'll likely work at an Air Guard unit close to your hometown, serving your community.

Will I be Deployed?

The Air Guard tries to fill all deployment packages with volunteers. If they can't, and you are tasked, you will deploy.
