Helicopter/Tiltrotor Maintenance

Helicopters and Tiltrotors are incredibly versatile aircraft that are essential to some of the Air National Guard’s most important missions. Whether it’s a search and rescue operation after a massive flood or a High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) drop deep in enemy territory, only perfect precision will suffice on especially dangerous and difficult missions. The care and maintenance of these important aircraft rest in the capable hands of the Helicopter/Tiltrotor Maintenance Specialist. In this job, you’ll perform preventive maintenance by inspecting the helicopter airframe and performing operational checks of the rotor, transmission and landing gear, as well as testing the hydraulic and electrical systems.
