Spectrum Operations

The Air National Guard makes constant use of high-tech communication techniques that require expert Spectrum Operations Technicians to ensure nothing interferes with the delivery and reception of all Air Guard electromagnetic broadcasts. The Spectrum Operations Technician analyzes requirements and requests frequencies to support terrestrial, aircraft, and space systems, and to coordinate radio, radar, land, and other electromagnetic radiating or receiving requirements. From troubleshooting interference to countering electronic jamming, keeping Air Guard communications fully functional is integral to mission success.
