They can also wreak havoc in the systems that keep an Air Guard facility functioning at optimal performance levels. That’s why the Pest Management Specialist is an important member of the Air Guard team. As a Pest Management Specialist, you’ll identify insects, spiders, ticks, mites, rodents, reptiles, predatory animals, birds, bats ,and weeds; select and apply integrated pest management techniques to control or manage pest populations; and use a variety of devices to repel birds from buildings, airfields, and other areas to ensure safe takeoffs and landings.
