The Security Forces mission has a long, rich history that predates even the Air Force's inception. They are the military police, base security and air base ground defense forces that watch over the Air Force and Air National Guard. Their activities are numerous and essential, and include security force installation, weapons system management and resource security. They also perform antiterrorism, law enforcement and investigations, air base defense, armament and equipment training, pass and registration, information security, and combat arms activities.
