Biomedical Equipment

Biomedical Equipment

Imagine you’re a patient in a military field clinic in a remote location, far from the reach of civilization. What happens if the machines and equipment being used to care for you break down? In the Air National Guard, a Biomedical Equipment Specialist responds to the need and is prepared with the knowledge and skills to fix it. In this job, you’ll install, inspect, repair, and modify biomedical equipment and support systems as needed. It takes resourceful people to solve problems when it’s not easy or quick enough to simply order a new part or a replacement machine. That’s why the Biomedical Equipment Specialist is an essential member of the Air Guard health care team.
