As a Public Health Specialist, you’ll be working to protect the men and women of the Air National Guard from a vast array of disease and illness. In this job, you’ll interview, educate, and ensure proper treatment of patients, inspect food service and public facilities for sanitation standards, educate people in correct sanitary practices, and help develop and monitor physical exam requirements. You’ll also teach occupational health education for workers exposed to physical, biological, and chemical hazards in their workplace. By giving Air Guard members the tools they need to fight communicable diseases better and avoid hazardous conditions, your work as a Public Health Specialist will keep the Air Guard ready to respond to any situation.
