Every one who serves in the military faces the possibility of going through some very taxing experiences. The Air National Guard strives to address the problems caused by high levels of stress and the adversity of war, which is why Mental Health Service Specialists are there for those servicemembers struggling to deal with mental hardship. In this job, you’ll interview patients to determine their psychological and psychosocial status, then provide guidance and counseling to assist patients in achieving a more satisfying personal, family, social and occupational life. You’ll also administer and score psychological tests, provide supportive nursing care for physically ill patients, and handle the administrative duties of the mental health clinic.
