As an Air National Guard Residency Trained Flight Surgeon, you're part of a unique team of trained health professionals — professionals working and training part time, getting ready to assist the Armed Forces in time of need. Aerospace medicine identifies and treats the unique physical problems that occur when pilots and crews spend many hours in flight, at high altitudes and under extreme pressure. You'll be performing annual training a few weeks a year or on a more prolonged basis if the need arises. You'll also be conducting medical examinations, providing medical care for aircrews and missile crews and their families, and participating in training programs for aeromedical personnel.
