Airborne Battle Management Mission

This mission will win tomorrow's battles by utilizing sophisticated aircraft equipped with the newest technology to provide the most up-to-date information to battlefield commanders. Airborne Warning Command and Control Systems operators serving as battle managers will fly on surveillance aircraft operating computerized airborne radar sensors and electronic countermeasure equipment to provide invaluable intelligence to ground, air and sea commanders involved in the battles. They will maintain communication nets available to these commanders and gather, record, display, control and distribute information necessary for battlefield success.
