At our base in Starke, we focus on RED HORSE, or Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers, which provides a highly mobile, rapidly deployable, civil engineering force that is self-sufficient to execute heavy damage repair of facilities, utility systems and aircraft launch and recovery. In addition, we conduct a Weather mission, using computer-intensive job skills to analyze and forecast atmospheric weather and space environmental conditions for decision-makers.

Units

202nd RED HORSE Squadron

The 202RHS provides a highly mobile, rapidly deployable civil engineering response force; performs heavy damage repair for recovery of critical Air Force facilities following enemy attack or natural disaster. The 202nd builds and maintains the buildings and utilities that make up the AF and ANG infrastructures. Specializations include architectural, electrical, mechanical and environmental engineering; duties encompass project management, drafting, surveying, planning, and feasibility studies.
