Additional missions include Civil Engineering and Individual Training.
The 209th Special Operations Civil Engineering Squadron provides trained, combat-ready teams to set up and operate the self-sustaining Collective Protective Small Shelter System-3 (CPSSS-3), providing a safe environment from chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) contamination. This unit also provides civil engineering teams for planning and crisis operations, joint task forces, and contingency operations, as well as an incident command team and operations teams.
