In Des Moines, we perform the Remotely Piloted Aircraft mission. This involves a variety of operations, including close air support, air interdiction, intelligence collection and quick strike capabilities with minimal danger to military personnel. Additional missions include Homeland Defense and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).

132nd Wing
The 132d Wing has three new, exciting missions. The Operations Group provides Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance 24/7, and domestic Warfighter training via DTOC. The ISR Targeting Group analyzes Geospatial Imagery to ID target function and vulnerability to then match specific weapons to meet Commander’s objective. The Cyber Operations Squadron provides Cyber Protection to defend DoD Information Networks and ensures cyber preparedness and cyber incident response for Iowa.
